Companyseek.com Announces Introduction of Site Submit Service

June 14, 2005 -- companyseek.com (www.companyseek.com), a Santa Monica, California-based business-to-business directory and search engine, announced today the introduction of the companyseek.com Site Submit Service. Companies accepted for inclusion in the directory will receive a standard, up to 50 word description in one of more than 300 business-to-business categories, and in addition, will receive a full page company profile with company contact information and an expanded company description of up to 250 words. The service will have a $29.95 one-time, non-recurring review fee.

companyseek.com management indicated that the companyseek’s principal goal in serving business-to-business companies is to offer companies the ability to have more in-depth company profiles than competitors such as Yahoo! and business.com, at a substantially lower cost. As a point of reference, Yahoo! and business.com charge annual, recurring fees of $299 and $99, respectively, and only offer companies the ability to have a brief company description with no contact information. In addition, companyseek.com is focused exclusively on business-to-business company directory listings, as opposed to the more general Yahoo! and business.com directories.

companyseek.com is a business-to-business directory and search engine whose mission is to become the leader in enabling business users to find service and product companies that match their needs. companyseek.com currently features more than 300 business-business categories and more than 40,000 B2B company listings. Major publicly traded B2B companies in the directory are featured in full-length company profiles. The directory includes companies from throughout the world, with an emphasis on companies from the U.S., U.K., and Australia.

companyseek.com does not focus on consumer-oriented companies, enabling companyseek to provide more relevant listings to businesses than more general directories. In addition, companyseek only focuses on listing companies (vs. content in other directories such as news, generalized information, etc.), improving relevancy and reducing information overload for users looking for companies within a specific industry.

Rather than using computer algorithms, the companies listed at the top of pages in companyseek.com as the Top Companies in a category are based on companyseek.com's BusinessRankSM ranking system, which involves an independent review and ranking for relevancy by the companyseek.com editorial staff, with factors such as market share, company reputation, and the quality of service or product provided by the company determining placement in the Top Company sections. Search engine optimization and paid inclusion efforts do not impact companyseek's Top Company listings. All advertising in the directory is to the right of the main listings and is clearly labeled as ads.
