April 21, 2005 -- Solving for X, an independent pop/rock band, has secured digital distribution with Apple's iTunes Music Store for their debut record, “What Planet Are You?”

The arrangement makes the ten songs from the album immediately available for purchase and download by millions of music fans in 15 countries, representing more than 70 percent of the global music market.

The band recognized early on in their career that instantaneous, worldwide exposure is one of the biggest advantages of using the Internet to promote and sell their music.

Getting on board with iTunes means more than just digital distribution for the band’s music - iTunes has the right to refuse any artist that does not meet their high standards of quality.

“To be added to iTunes' impressive catalog is validation that our music is as good as anything coming out of the major record labels” says Wheat.
