English internet entrepreneur launches "The Six Million Dollar Cube" pixel advertising site.

Hubbard has taken Alex Tew’s original novelty idea at http://www.MillionDollarHomepage.com and given it literally a new twist.
Pixel advertising is the latest phenomenon to storm the internet. The basic idea is that individuals and corporations buy small ‘billboard’ squares which make up composite ad images and, according to Hubbard, will remain on the site for ten years. The potential for traffic is huge. If Hubbard’s site does take off it could be one of the world’s most visited sites; simply for the novelty value, and more importantly bringing millions of visitors to the site who will see and click on advertisers’ pixels.
The new site has provenance in Hubbard’s previous successes on the internet. He started a webmail service in 1998, and purchased a motorcycling fan site for £10,000 in 1999 – the first was sold to a public company and earned Hubbard £300,000, and the second was floated on the UK stock market with a valuation in excess of £13 million.
