For the Love of Marketing: 53% of Professionals Look at Sender Line Before Opening an E-Mail

May 7, 2005 -- North Star Marketing Inc. recently polled hundreds of business professionals across the country on what influences them to open an e-mail, the subject line or the sender. Of those surveyed, 53% say they look at the sender first and only 10% look at the subject line. In addition, 35% say they compare both the sender and the subject before determining whether or not to open a message if it seems questionable.
