Fort Lauderdale Graphic Design Firm Gains Small Business Award Three Years in a Row

May 4, 2005 -- After relocating S.MARK Graphics to Fort Lauderdale in January of 2001, the graphic design firm was awarded an Annual Small Business Award by the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce. The award marks the third consecutive year the graphic design firm has been recognized with the Small Business Award.

In a presentation on Friday, April 29, 2005, Christopher Pollock, President and CEO of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce along with Evan Rees, Regional President of Regions Bank and President of the Board of Directors of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce, presented S.MARK Graphics President Mark Budwig with one of five small business awards.

The award represents the third consecutive year the Fort Lauderdale graphic design firm has been awarded Small Business of the Year. In 2003, the Broward Council of Chambers recognized Mark Budwig with the Small Business Person of the Year award. In 2004, the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce selected S.MARK Graphics as Small Business winner at the annual “Salute to Business” awards presentation.

“We'd like to clone Mark Budwig," comments Christopher Pollock enthusiastically. “Budwig truly understands you have to give in order to receive. He is one of our top volunteers and we proudly recognize him and his firm for their contributions.”

Budwig attributes the award recognition to two factors. “The Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce provides so many repeat opportunities to create and develop relationships. This - along with our ability to help other Chamber members market their businesses through our design of collateral materials - makes for a prefect marriage,” comments Budwig.

S.MARK Graphics operated in Chicago from 1984 until it relocated to South Florida in 2001. The graphic design firm provides the design and production of marketing materials for print, electronic and advertising media, on a project-to-project basis.
