Internet Advertising - Is It Just Another Venue?April 29, 2005 -- Having tried opt-in lists of all flavors, it has been found that very few of them do very well, unless they are "branded" as a nationally recognized name. Even on the internet, certain companies are not branded as well as they could be, and certainly aren't doing what they should be doing in revenue retention. With the advent of RSS, it is, however, becoming more of a popular option, but the technology is still nascient and not enough people understand the underlying infrastructure. So, it's back to "square one". Instant Buzz (http://www.instantbuzz.com/dmsgroup) has become one of the most versatile viral marketing and advertising systems to manifest itself on the internet. The brainchild of Michael Chen, and creator of Make Your Own Software, Instant Buzz has taken hold in major corporate advertising and marketing circles, and even Fortune 500 and 1000 companies are using it on the internet. The technology is simple enough for a nine year old to download and install, and it runs without conflict as a toolbar in your browser. The nice thing about it is that it broadcasts your ad in three different venues without a plethora of junk mail. Forget safelists - the majority of them don't work. They only thing they do is generate a bunch of useless garbage in your Inbox and Instant Buzz isn't based on email topology, and it's so close to RSS it's not even funny. But close... Marketers and advertisers using Traffic Swarm (http://www.trafficswarm.com/go.cgi?134718) will find this of particular interest in that it doesn't require you to surf links to build up credits like most other credit based systems. While Traffic Swarm is the Number One choice of viral advertising venues, it is now being challenged by Instant Buzz. Marketing and advertising can be a challenge - both online and offline in the "brick and mortar" venue. Sometimes, plain old "sweat equity" and "word of mouth" advertising -- and some simple "networking" among friends and colleagues will increase your exposure. Getting your ad copy tweaked for maximum performance can be advantageous, too. Putting together an ad that doesn't grab people's attention isn't going to do you any good if it is broadcast to millions of viewers. But good ad copy that is viewed by a relatively few thousand - or thousands - can have exponential benefits on your bottom line. Look into viral advertising as an adjunct to your present marketing efforts. Traffic Swarm (http://www.trafficswarm.com/go.cgi?134718) and Instant Buzz (http://www.instantbuzz.com/dmsgroup) are two of the tops. There are others, of course, and you can check them out at http://100grandamonthclub.tripod.com/far.html. But test your venues as you would your ad copy. You will find Instant Buzz and Traffic Swarm to be your best bet yet. Key to Winning in PPC Marketing Ways to Make Quick and Easy Money with Google Adse...
