Local Trumpet Buyers/Sellers Get Visible Boost via eBay

(PRLEAP.COM) Holmdel, NJ — Local trumpet collectors finally have
their own website to match local sellers to local buyers.

It all started 20+ years ago, Ling
reminisced, on the day she shelved her professional silver Bach
Strad trumpet in her closet. A high school trumpet player,
she soon found serious academics demanded enough of her time
to necessitate her dropping band. And her Model 37 trumpet
languished for the next 20-odd years, unused, yet retaining
its excellent condition.

Fast forward to last year. One of her children began 4th grade,
the year in which most kids learn a musical instrument. "Trumpets
are second-nature to my family," she said. "After observing how
much my children enjoyed playing the trumpet, I made a decision
to get them their own student models. It was then I remembered
my Bach…but I didn’t have a clue as to how to sell it or how
to find an interested buyer. My research online finally led me to
Dillons in Woodbridge, where I was able to successfully trade in my Bach
trumpet."

The experience of searching left an impression, however. "I’ve been an
online entrepreneur now since 1997," she said. "Participating in several
trumpet forums showed me that while many trumpet collectors existed,
there was no one site decided toward matching local sellers with
local buyers. And I’m positive I’m not the only 40-something
person who kept hold of her musical instrument since high school."

"Not everyone who is online is aware of eBay," she continued.
Collectors, certainly, know the benefit of eBay, but their
targeted market (people with trumpets to sell) might know of
only AOL. They’re used to seeing local paper advertising
like "I buy furniture" or "I buy guitars"… making a site
for local buying/selling trumpets is a next natural step."

An experienced eBay seller, Ling decided to let market
