Retail Automotive Top Talent Returns to BIGgross

(PRWEB) July 6, 2007 -- Retail automotive industry sales and training authority Peter Sell has left his Connecticut Chevrolet/Mazda dealership to return to his career roots at automotive advertising agency BIGgross, Inc.

“  Meeting with Peter at the conference reminded me of how much I like him as a person, and respect him as a professional
Sell rejoined BIGgross in June as Sales and Development Trainer to spearhead the national agency's sales expansion that includes new media product development, such as Internet, email and virtual business development centers, to complement the agency's automotive direct mail campaigns. He is primarily responsible for training new hires and continuing sales development programs.

I fell in love with retail automotive at BIGgross "I fell in love with retail automotive at BIGgross," said Sell. "I didn't realize it when I left Florida, but my work in retail automotive advertising proved to be a real advantage in Connecticut. Being back at BIGgross now, I see how my perspective has changed. I know what dealers go through, and those concerns and insight are making their way to our sales team."

Sell comes back to BIGgross with six years of automotive direct mail and retail automotive experience. He started his career there in 2001 as a sales representative, and quickly rose to a management position, dedicating much of his time to new hire recruiting and training. Sell was responsible for training the four top sales producers currently at BIGgross.

In addition, Sell was assigned a six-month stint with dealer management services and staffed-events company, OnPoint, owned by BIGgross. During that time, Sell traveled to over 80 staffed events, training sales representatives and going through extensive sales, F&I and sales desk management training, himself.

In 2004, Sell left the national agency and returned to his family and friends in Watertown, Connecticut. While there, he expanded his career with a sales position for the area's top-selling Honda dealership. He soon became its number one sales representative in both gross and units sold.

Sell left the dealership a year later to accept a management position in the F&I department of a multi-point dealership in Derby, Connecticut. Within months, Sell doubled the group's back-end production to more than $1,000 per unit. He simultaneously served as Director of Business Development and was instrumental in the creation of the group's Special Finance Department and grew its sales to 100 units per month by the time he left to return to BIGgross.

The seeds of his return were planted in February 2007, when Sell ran into BIGgross CEO, Sean Marra at the N.A.D.A. conference in Las Vegas. While catching up, the two began brainstorming ideas for a sales training and development department at BIGgross that could concentrate on the agency's automotive direct mail campaigns.

"Meeting with Peter at the conference reminded me of how much I like him as a person, and respect him as a professional," Marra said. "I knew at that point I had to bring him back to Florida."

Marra extended an offer to Sell shortly after the conference. Within a matter of weeks, they had a plan, a deal, and a signed agreement.
