India on Friday signed the Constitution and memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the institution of the Colombo Safety Conclave (CSC) Secretariat together with Sri Lanka, Maldives, and Mauritius.
Nationwide Safety Adviser Ajit Doval, together with representatives from Maldives, Mauritius, and Sri Lanka, signed a constitution and memorandum of understanding (MoU) to ascertain the Colombo Safety Conclave (CSC) Secretariat, in response to the Excessive Fee of India in Sri Lanka.
The Signing Ceremony was hosted in Colombo by the Authorities of Sri Lanka. The signing occasion marked a major step in regional safety collaboration amongst India, Maldives, Mauritius, and Sri Lanka.

In accordance with MEA, “The Member States of the Colombo Safety Conclave (CSC) signed the Constitution and the MoU for the Institution of the CSC Secretariat on 30 August 2024. The Signing Ceremony was hosted in Colombo by the Authorities of Sri Lanka.”
Ajit Doval KC, Nationwide Safety Adviser to the Prime Minister of India; Ibrahim Latheef, DC (Retd.), Lt. Col (Retd.), Nationwide Safety Advisor of Maldives; Haymandoyal Dillum, Excessive Commissioner of the Republic of Mauritius to Sri Lanka and Sagala Ratnayake, Nationwide Safety Advisor to the President of Sri Lanka signed the paperwork on behalf of the respective Member States.
“The CSC’s core goal is to advertise regional safety by addressing transnational threats and challenges of widespread concern to the Member States,” the assertion added.
