For the final two weeks, my climate app has knowledgeable me that there’s an actual threat (on this case, wildfires).
However, after a number of days, that’s not extreme climate. That’s simply climate. (Metaphor alert).
Patterns are simple to disregard. We concentrate when the sample is interrupted.
The character of alerts is that they’re not persistent.
The 2 challenges are:
- We expect that recurrently alerting individuals to one thing is more likely to get their consideration time and again.
- We’ll get used to extreme circumstances that we should always by no means get used to.
