Not all tech is new tech.
The ballpoint pen was a revelation, and a bit controversial. Now, it’s disposable and apparent.
Completely different industries undergo tech spurts. My desk is roofed with objects I exploit on daily basis (a mouse, headphones, a solid-state drive, clear tape, and even a Star Trek communicator) that have been dangerous breakthroughs, and now they’re merely commonplace (although we now name the communicator a telephone).
When tech is coming at us too shortly, it’s tempting to easily wait. It’s dangerous to be an early adopter.
However as soon as the tempo slows down a bit, as soon as our friends and opponents are benefitting from a productiveness breakthrough, our aversion ought to be extra intentional than that. Maybe it’s time to rethink the tech we as soon as stated we have been too busy to hassle studying.
We get to decide on our instruments, and the instruments we select alter the work we do.
