Carrying oxygen masks, Delhi BJP leaders and employees held protests at 4 locations within the nationwide capital on Saturday morning in opposition to the AAP authorities over the air air pollution within the metropolis.

The get together’s leaders mentioned the protests have been held on the ITO crossing, close to the India Gate, the roundabout close to the Le Meridian Lodge and the 11 Murti roundabout.

Member of Parliament Manoj Tiwari and Delhi BJP normal secretary Kamaljeet Sehrawat joined the protest on the 11 Murti Chowk, they mentioned.

Delhi BJP normal secretaries Harsh Malhotra and Yogendra Chandolia joined the protests on the ITO crossing and the Le Meridian roundabout respectively. Senior Delhi BJP chief Rajiv Babbar joined the demonstration at India Gate, they added.

The Centre on December 22 ordered a ban on non-essential development work and plying of BS-III petrol and BS-IV diesel four-wheelers within the Delhi-NCR amid worsening air high quality within the area.

GRAP is the Centre’s air air pollution management plan carried out within the area in the course of the winter season. GRAP categorises actions into 4 phases: Stage I ‘Poor’ (AQI 201-300); Stage II ‘Very Poor’ (AQI 301-400); Stage III ‘Extreme’ (AQI 401-450); and Stage IV ‘Extreme Plus’ (AQI>450).
