Microsoft has invested billions in AI and plans to reopen a nuclear energy plant in Pennsylvania to energy the know-how. Nonetheless, Marc Benioff, CEO of enterprise competitor Salesforce, says that Microsoft’s efforts aren’t sufficient and that Microsoft has truly achieved a “super disservice” to the AI business.
“Whenever you have a look at how Copilot has been offered to our prospects, it is disappointing,” Benioff stated in an episode of the Masters of Scale Fast Response podcast earlier this month. “It does not work, it spews information everywhere in the flooring, it does not ship worth to prospects. I have not discovered a buyer who has transformational work with Copilot.”
Benioff stated that Salesforce prospects have been “so confused” due to how Microsoft had delivered AI.

“Copilot is absolutely the brand new Microsoft Clippy,” Benioff stated, referring to the paperclip-shaped workplace assistant that Microsoft discontinued in 2007. “I do not assume Copilot shall be round, I do not assume prospects will use it.” Salesforce is a Microsoft competitor.
