The Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS), the labour arm of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), on Wednesday organised a protest at Jantar Mantar, demanding restoration of the Outdated Pension Scheme (OPS) and scrapping the current New Pension Scheme (NPS).


In response to a name given by the Authorities Workers Nationwide Confederation (GENC), which is an industrial unit of BMS, scores of staff from railways, defence, postal, central authorities institutions, and native our bodies participated on this agitation.


The protesters demanded the federal government to have the three basic components- the restoration of a assured pension amounting to a minimal of fifty per cent of the final primary pay; provision of dearness reduction for value neutralisation; and a dedication to revising pensions in step with subsequent Central Pay Commissions’ (CPC) suggestions.


The demonstration was presided over by Vipan Kumar Dogra, vp of GENC, Hiranmay Pandya, all-India president of BMS, Ravindra Himte, common secretary of BMS.
