Rockstar Games has unveiled an extensive gameplay preview for the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI, set to launch on November 19, 2026. The showcase, titled Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look, was initially released on Netflix and is now available on YouTube, featuring in-game footage captured on PlayStation 5.
The preview introduces players to the game’s protagonists, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, who become embroiled in a criminal conspiracy following a botched job. The gameplay highlights various missions, including robberies, combat scenarios, police pursuits, and numerous activities across the game’s fictional Florida setting, named Leonida.
The depicted gameplay opens with Jason and Lucia arriving at a drug house, quickly escalating into a shootout with armed adversaries and corrupt law enforcement. The video demonstrates cooperative gameplay mechanics, allowing players to tackle missions with different strategies, such as driving while the other character handles firearms.
Robberies take center stage, with the protagonists able to hold up various establishments while utilizing an item wheel for masks. Players can employ diverse methods for stealing vehicles, ranging from breaking windows to digital key cloning. The preview also reveals enhanced police pursuit mechanics, where law enforcement utilizes character details during searches, allowing for dynamic evasion techniques through clothing and vehicle changes.
Additional features include a character fitness system, a new social media feed called Snapmatic, and improved NPC interactions reminiscent of those in Red Dead Redemption 2. The game will see a simultaneous release for both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
