Q2 results: IDFC First Bank, Castrol India, JK Cement, 30 more on Oct 24 | Company Results

A total of 33 companies are set to release their financial results for the second quarter of the financial year 2026-27 (Q2FY27) on Saturday. This group includes notable firms such as Kotak Mahindra Bank, IDFC First Bank, AU Small Finance Bank, and Castrol India. Other companies bringing forth their performance updates comprise JK Cement, Kajaria Ceramics, and Infosys, among others.

Infosys reported a net profit of ₹7,828 crore for Q2FY27, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 6.2%. Operating revenue saw an increase of 10.7%, reaching ₹49,244 crore. Notably, the company has adjusted its full-year revenue growth forecast to a range of 1–2% in constant currency terms, down from its previous estimate of 1.5–3%. This revision comes in light of anticipated softer growth in the U.S. market and heightened pricing pressures associated with artificial intelligence services. Despite this, Infosys secured large deal wins totaling $5.2 billion during the quarter.

In market updates, both the Sensex and Nifty50 indices concluded lower for the fourth consecutive session amidst ongoing geopolitical tensions. The Sensex declined by 125.56 points, or 0.17%, finishing at 73,123.83, while the Nifty50 fell by 87.65 points, or 0.39%, closing at 22,600. Shriram Finance, Adani Enterprises, and JSW Steel were among the most affected equities on the Nifty50, while the broader indices, including the Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Smallcap 100, also experienced significant declines.

– Why this story matters: The financial performance of these companies can influence market trends and investor confidence.
– Key takeaway: Infosys has shown growth in profits but revised its revenue forecast downward, indicating potential challenges in the tech sector.
– Opposing viewpoint: Some analysts argue that the revisions may be overly cautious given the potential for recovery in the U.S. market.
