In her view, applicants should prioritize genuine communication over AI-generated templates, especially when crafting cover letters.

Despite a noticeable shift in behavior, Nibler noted the issue has expanded beyond entry-level positions to encompass more experienced job seekers. Additionally, she raised concerns about the erosion of critical skills, as candidates increasingly depend on AI, which could impact their job performance.

Nibler urged caution against using AI for screening resumes, as algorithms may overlook innovative talents. She recounted a successful placement of a candidate without a degree but with unique experiences that AI screening would likely have dismissed.

As remote work continues to evolve, Nibler underscored the potential loss of essential mentorship and critical thinking skills among younger professionals, stressing the need for applicants to present themselves honestly and professionally in any interview setting.
