In the mid-2000s, Amazon emerged as a dominant force in retail, characterized by significant brand recognition and robust logistics. With plans to deploy over 5,400 satellites capable of delivering speeds up to 144 gigabits per second, Blue Origin seeks to cater to approximately 100,000 high-capacity customers globally, commencing deployment in late 2027. The growth of AI workloads and global cloud systems is fueling demand for this type of infrastructure, which is expected to expand the satellite internet market notably by 2030.

As both Blue Origin and SpaceX develop their respective satellite networks, they follow distinct strategies. Starlink focuses on consumer reach, while Blue Origin targets the essential network infrastructure for larger enterprises.
