Stocks making the biggest moves premarket: AAPL, CASY, SIG

Premarket trading saw significant movements among various companies. Mission Produce, an avocado producer, experienced a 7.5% increase in its stock price after surpassing analyst expectations for both earnings per share and revenue in its fiscal third quarter.

In contrast, Apple’s shares slightly declined as investors awaited the announcement of new products, including a foldable iPhone. The company faced a year-over-year decline of 0.3% in fuel sales, and sales of prepared foods and beverages rose less than anticipated.

Signet Jewelers noted a substantial 17% rise in its stock, driven by better-than-expected second-quarter earnings, reporting an adjusted $2.19 per share, compared to a FactSet estimate of $1.74. The company also raised its full-year earnings guidance.

Energy sector stocks gained momentum as Brent crude futures surpassed $100 a barrel for the first time since July, influenced by mounting tensions between Iran and the United States. The U.S. benchmark, West Texas Intermediate, increased by 2.14% to reach $95 a barrel, while the XLE ETF, which tracks the S&P 500 energy sector, saw around a 1% rise.

In contrast, ServiceTitan’s shares fell over 17% after its third quarter revenue guidance fell short of analyst estimates, even though it reported higher revenue for the previous quarter. Braze’s shares dropped nearly 11% after it missed revenue expectations despite beating earnings per share. Conversely, Chime Financial saw an increase of over 10% in its stock price after reporting better-than-expected second-quarter earnings and anticipates generating revenue of $680 to $690 million in the upcoming quarter.
