Meanwhile, cruise operators benefited from falling oil prices, with Carnival up 3% and Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruise Line both rising about 2%. Airline stocks also saw gains attributed to increased oil prices, as United Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and American Airlines each rose around 2%. Additionally, Smith & Wesson shares jumped 14% after reporting an earnings beat and a 23% increase in handgun sales to sporting goods retailers.
